About Helping Hygiene
Helping Hygiene was founded by Kotomi Yokokura after she recognized the need for accessible menstrual hygiene products on the University of Kentucky's campus and in the community. Helping Hygiene's mission is to provide free and accessible hygiene products to students and underserved communities. Helping Hygiene currently provides free and accessible menstrual hygiene products at local food banks and across the University of Kentucky's campus. In addition to the provision of products, Helping Hygiene creates education to combat the stigma surrounding menstruation and to increase one's knowledge of their cycle. Helping Hygiene's goal is to expand its service provision to aid all individuals by providing all types of hygiene products.
